VOLTTRON 2014

On July 23 and 24, 2014, DOE's Building Technologies Office held technical meetings graciously hosted by Case Western Reserve University on a Software Framework for Transactive Energy.  The purpose of this meeting was to give an overview of the VOLTTRON™ platform—a transaction based software platform and an open source software environment—as well as the Transactional Network concept and build and expand the community around this technology.

Meeting agenda items included exploring current and future applications that use the VOLTTRON platform, outlining use cases of the technology, and showcasing several building/grid applications to improve, such as buildings' energy efficiency and electric vehicle charging.

You can download the meeting book and all presentations on the DOE website.
